SOCCER TOURNAMENT

A top-four tournament was decided upon after Mr. DZ Gumede spoke with the captains of the other teams over calls and WhatsApp. The teams were Ngodini Rise and Shine Residents, Cecil Complex Residents, Napoli Local Team, and Nomanini FC. Because Nomanini did not accept the invitation, the tournament finished in the top three.

Despite the fact that games are typically intense, all disputes were settled, and the tournament went off without any significant disruptions. Our resident's new players were welcomed with open arms and gave their all on the field.

As we made it to the final, the tournament had a positive effect on the team and gave us hope that we could win again; we just need to work harder and train more. As we played together for the first time, it also demonstrated the abilities of our new players and their contributions to the team. In essence, by encouraging cooperation, creating relationships, and increasing recognition, the tournament significantly improved a team's morale. Additionally, it can offer a shared experience and an opportunity for enjoyment, which will ultimately enhance the working environment as a whole.

CECIL COMPLEX SOCCER TEAM 2025

First game, new player, Thabang Mohale scored a free kick goal against Ngodini Rise and Shine Resident. Score 1-0

Second game, Ngodini Rise and Shine repeated since they lost the first one and lost again to Napoli Local Team. Score 3-0

Third and Final game, Dumisani Gumede scored a goal and did the Napoli local team so it was a draw and concluded in penalties, that’s where we lost the final. Score 1-1
