CECIL COMPLEX NETBALL REPORT
How was the game arranged?
Ms Nelisa organized a tournament match with Goal diggers and Mpaka res after having to play friendly games with both of the teams a week before. The aim was to promote unity, build friendship amongst the girls and also to win a cash price.
What was the feel of the tournament and the players’ behaviour?
The girls were excited and highly motivated, as they were looking forward to winning the tournament after having to win the previous games. They displayed strong dedication and commitment throughout the tournament even though some players were a bit nervous. Newly players who have been training with the team were officially playing in their first tournament and they performed well. Overall, discipline, teamwork, and positive energy were evident.
What was the impact of the tournament on the team’s morale?
The match boosted the team’s confidence and the belief in its potential. It became clear that the team is capable of winning and competing especially given that the games were judged unfairly and poorly. The experience strengthened team spirit and their ability to handle situations of unfair treatment calmly and professionally.
What were the scores from the matches?
The first match was Cecil Elites vs Goal diggers and the score was 10:22. With Cecil scoring 10 goals.
The second match was Cecil Elites vs Mpaka res, this match was to determine on which teams who will go to the finals. The score was Cecil- 7 and Mpaka res- 10.
Unfortunately, Cecil Elites didn’t get to the finals.
Also giving a shout out to our Captain Nelisa and Nondumiso as they played really well and secured all the goals for the teams.
